Easy to install
Only 10 screws and you are ready to retrieve your mail worry free.
- Remove
the four (4) extension tabs on the mounting plate. Discard if you have
a standard size mailbox. Place
mounting plate on the mailbox post to mark the location of the hole on the
post. Place the RotoBox plate (blue) on the mailbox post (set 1/2"
away from the back post). Drill a
pilot hole for the large screw (Lag Bolt) into the mailbox post. Align black mounting
plate over blue plate and attach with the large screw. The screw will
fit inside the wooden center (facing up toward you) in the center of the
mounting plate where you first will need to drop the washer in the
predrilled hole. Tighten firmly but not so tight that the mounting place
cannot rotate.
- Mailbox fits over the black mounting plate. Align the mailbox with all four
holes and attach with 2 screws on each side of the mailbox from the outside
into the mounting plate. If necessary, pre-drill the 4 holes in mailbox that
best fits your unit.
- Four screws are provided to attach the locking device to the post at the rear of the mailbox. Predrill four holes (see picture above) and attach locking device so when it is in the up position it goes into the mounting plate. A hole has been established in the mounting plate for this locking device.
Optional Step:
Complete all of the above steps. Now place the "Stop" (Square black plastic piece) on the opposite side of the locking device. Screw in place with the self-starting screw up into the black plastic plate.
